Manchester United handed double injury boost before Chelsea fixture

Ander Herrera and Marcos Rojo are both back in training ahead of the trip to Chelsea,.

Herrera has only made one Premier League start this season, in the home defeat to Spurs, and an ankle injury has kept him sidelined ever since.

However, a video posted on the midfielder’s Instagram page has given United a boost as he could be available for the trip to Stamford Bridge after the international break.

The video showed him working on his shooting skills at Carrington while a number of his team mates were away on international duty.

The 29-year-old also revealed that Marcos Rojo is back in training having missed the start to the new campaign.

Rojo started for the U23s at Old Trafford last month but his recovery was pushed back further as he hobbled off in the second-half of the game.

The return of Rojo and Herrera would leave just Jesse Lingard, Luke Shaw and Nemanja Matic as potential doubts.

Reports earlier this week suggested there was some hope Lingard would be fit to feature against Chelsea having missed the last three games as he recovers from a groin injury.

Matic withdrew from the Serbia squad with a back injury and is back in Manchester ahead of the game against his former side.

While Shaw was forced to withdraw from the England squad after picking up a knock in the Newcastle game.
