MANCHESTER UNITED forward Anthony Martial could become a better player than Chelsea talisman Eden Hazard.
That is the verdict of United legend and ex-Premier League midfielder Paul Ince.
The former MK Dons and Blackpool manager has high hopes for the Red Devils’ current in-form star.
Martial has five goals in six games for United and the club want to tie him down to a new long-term contract.
The 22-year-old’s current deal expires at the end of the season, although Manchester United have the option to extend that by a further 12 months.
Keeping Martial for future years to come, though, is the goal given the France international’s huge potential.
One Premier League player he can certainly aspire to emulate moving forward is Hazard at Chelsea.
The Belgian and World Cup star has become, arguably, the biggest talent in English football.
And Ince feels Martial has the capability to achieve as much as the 27-year-old Real Madrid target while at Old Trafford.
“No team will want to face Anthony Martial right now,” Ince told Paddy Power.
“He’s playing like the player we all knew he was.
“And it’s interesting to see that now Mourinho seems to have found a team and formula that works, the results are coming in.
“Martial is Man United’s Eden Hazard. He’s their world class attacking player, the one that can do something special and make things happen when you most need it.
“He’s only 22, and if he carries on in this form, he’ll be as good, if not better than Hazard.”
Martial scored a brace against Hazard’s Chelsea in United’s recent 2-2 Premier League draw at Stamford Bridge.
And he will be looking to get on the scoresheet once again on Sunday when Mourinho’s men visit neighbours Manchester City (4.30pm).
Chelsea, meanwhile, have Hazard back fully fit and he starts this evening for them in their Europa League clash in Belarus away to BATE Borisov (5.55pm).
